With great sadness we have to announce the death of one of our M&Js coaches, Neil Thompson.

Neil was diagnosed with cancer only 3 months ago, and unfortunately passed away on Friday evening following complications after treatment for lymphoma.

Neil was an active member of our Club, and helped coach our U11s last season.

Though a busy and Senior Partner at law firm Hill Dickinson, Neil loved his rugby, and always remained committed to the game. Having played for many seasons at Dronfield, he came down to Sheffield RUFC to introduce his sons (William and James) to our great game.

Our heartfelt commiserations and condolences go out to his wife Catherine.
