A game where both teams arrived with a bare 15 players due to injuries and illness, played on a pitch were the going would be described as heavy, but in fairness given the overnight weather the pitch held up exceptionally well.

First half Sheffield played up the slight hill and had a very low sun in their eyes was competitive with a half time score of 19-3.

The second half saw Sheffield run away with the game a little but all credit to the Wath boys who battled all the way and were looking like getting a well deserved try when Sheffield's second row picked up a loose ball and ran the length of the pitch from behind his own line for probably the score of the year to date!
