U13's 3 Way v Thornensians & Scunthorpe

As we enter December, U13's travelled to Scunthorpe with bare bones of a squad, 10 players injured or unwell but nevertheless got off to a good start with an early try against Thornensians. This match was relatively even and finished all square which was a fair reflection of the match. XXX returned from injury with some telling runs. XXX skilfully picked up a loose ball and ran through to score an excellent second try, meanwhile XXX at scrum half filled in well and his distribution was much improved. XXX showed some great skills at Fly Half and XXX was robust in the front row, putting in one tackle after another. Considering the reduced numbers all the team fought well and it was a deserved draw in the end.
Scunthorpe match followed straight after and some tired legs mean't that this match didn't quite go our way, nevertheless it was a great effort from our boys. Big thanks to Scunthorpe and Thorne for hosting us, it was a fantastic morning of junior rugby.
