The most recognisable trophy in the SMCC set is undoubtedly the Loo Seat trophy, given to the Man of the Match in the Annual Senior vs Junior fixture. The origins of the trophy are in the old toilet block, now the rear storage shed.
There are rumours that certain wives and girlfriends have instructed their other halves to have a good day, but not so good that you bring that toilet seat home on Senior Junior day, but wearing the toilet sheet is a rite of passage and aspiration for many within Sheldon Marlborough.
The Toilet seat award was first made in 1980 and the list of winners can be found below. It contains many SMCC stalwarts, but a surprising number of the club's top players have never managed to take home this coveted award.
