The Best In Show trophy was awarded to Tony Power but then the whole day was stolen by Sid Rigg who collected Heaviest Onion & Best Set, with Paul Palmer and Neil Gregg taking 2nd and 3rd respectfully with their onion sets.

The final class of the day which was the Childrens Novelty Vegetable was a joint award to Bethany Smith (7years) and Abigail Barlow (9years) for their X Factor onion display!

The whole event would not of been possible without the support of various people, namely John Southward who was the show judge, Keith Davidson who was a main event organiser and Ian Graham who provided a stunning array of flowers which he later donated to be auctioned alongside various vegetables the committee members donated.

All in all the day was a resounding success and the committee are now looking forward to next year’s event.
