OLs secured an emphatic home win against RSA to go top of the Warwickshire Colts League in their own right . A cold day at the crofts was warmed by some excellent tries and some expert tea making and distribution from our very own all-rounder Adrian Wigham - top effort !
Kai Bailey opened the scoring in the first 5 minutes with a well taken tap and go , dotting down wide the posts , 5-0 . RSA were then guilty of some poor tackling and minutes later Will Davies scores (after a quick juggle) , 10-0 . OLs welcomed back Ben Hawkes after a long absence and he scored OLs third try with a super individual try following some top ground work from Brenan Lumby , Alex Witchell converts , 17-0 . Hawkes , now feeling confident , runs in two more tries before the half is out to make the score 29-0 .
in the Second half RSA work hard and try to and get their hand son the ball but the OLs forwards are in fine form with the Sanneh twins putting in a great shift . Several phases of play sees the next try scored by Thomas Wigham , 36-0 and then shortlky afterwards followed by George Smith , 41-0 . Nathan Chant also pops up with a well earned try to make it 48-0 . RSA don't give up and score their own well taken try minutes later , 48-5 . Jake Pettifer then enters the game and scores three quick tries - getting on the end of some brilliant grubbers and box kicks from Will Davies and Kai Bailey , 65-5 . Not to be out done Ben Hawkes marks a superb come back game with his fourth try to make the final score 72-5 . Great home display from the boys , the victory being even more sweeter on finding out that OCs had succumbed to a tough Newbold outfit .
