Bedford Town Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Louis Walsh.
The 23 year old attacker arrives at the Eyrie having impressed highly throughout pre-season. Walsh spent his youth with Barnsley, and after departing went on to have spells with Nottingham Forest, Southend United and Barnet.

Whilst with the Bees, he had loan spells with Beaconsfield Town and Banbury United before recently being with Slough Town, Thame United and Risborough Rangers. Walsh has signed Southern League registration forms and will form part of Lee Bircham's squad selection for when the new PitchingIn Southern League Division One Central campaign starts at home to Kidlington on Saturday 12th August.

Speaking to www.bedfordeagles.net, Director Jon Taylor and Manager Lee Bircham commented, "We are very excited to have signed the very talented 23 year old Louis Walsh. He has come to the club with high expectations and he will prove to be a great signing for the club. Louis has so much ability and can beat players for fun - a two footed very gifted player who is comfortable either in a forward position or behind the front two. His technical ability is outstanding and his little deft touches & passes in the final third of the pitch is very impressive".

The pair continued, "Personally there is a lot to come from Louis. He will only improve and certainly a player to watch this season. He will also regularly get on the score sheet and be high in the charts for his personal assists. We can't wait to see him in our league games, when we get into the serious side of business next month.”

After an impressive pre-season on trial at Bedford, we hope supporters will give a warm reception to Louis for the final home pre-season game vs. Watford XI on Saturday 5th August, or away to AFC Rushden & Diamonds tomorrow night.
