The Eagles travel down to Hendon for their third friendly of pre-season and first away game of it too. Bedford are coming off the back of a solid 1-1 draw with Kettering Town. A late equaliser from a trialist assured that the Eagles didn’t lose against local rivals.
Pre-season has gotten off to a promising start for Lee Bircham’s Bedford side. A 2-0 win over Chalfont St Peter and a 1-1 draw with Kettering Town means the Eagles start pre-season with a bang.
This week, the Eagles firstly travel to Hendon on Tuesday night before hosting Ilford FC on Saturday. There have been some brilliant performances so far from the players.
This will be the first away day for the Eagles since April’s match against St Ives Town. Bedford lost 2-0 after goals from Jonathan Edwards and Charlie Johnson.
Hendon didn’t have a great season in step three last year but will be looking to improve upon their eighteenth-place finish. They survived relegation by one point and sent Harrow Borough down.
They recently beat Arlesey Town in a friendly. Hendon came away from New Lamb Meadow with a 0-4 win and looked quite strong, playing good football in the process.
