The Eagles are back on the road, but this time they are heading to Nottinghamshire to face Basford United. Gary Setchell’s side recently lost 2-0 against Mickleover but the team will want to get three points on the board this time out.
Bedford Town have had a decent start to the season, sitting in twelfth place after sixteen games. In recent matches, they lost 2-0 to Mickleover, drew 0-0 with Needham Market and lost 0-3 to Alvechurch.
This is the third away game on the bounce for the Eagles, all of which have been in different counties. The Eagles will want to pick up three points in this match against a side just one point ahead.
Connor Tomlinson has been on top form for Bedford this season. He has scored six goals and has provided three assists. The only player with more assists than him is Drew Richardson with four.
Basford have been in some bad form lately. They were 0-2 up against Stratford Town up until a late Statford comeback limited Basford to a single point. Basford also lost 2-1 against Mickleover just a few weeks ago.
Basford played against National League Solihull Moors in the Emirates FA Cup and only lost 1-0 against a great Solihull Moors side.
Their last win was against Hednesford Town in October. This was thanks to a last minute own goal from Kieth Lowe to give the Lions the three points.
This looks to be a great game between two sides pushing up the table. Safe travels to those of you making the journey up to Basford.
