The Eagles travel down to Oxfordshire to face Thame United in the Southern League Division One Central. Last time out, Bedford drew 1-1 with Kings Langley in a solid point for Lee Bircham’s side.
The Eagles currently sit top of the tree in the league with six wins from seven and still unbeaten. Bedford are one of two teams in the league still unbeaten, alongside Tuesday night’s opponents Kings Langley.
Lynton Goss has got off to a flying start with the Eagles since joining. He has scored three goals in four games since joining and is absolutely smashing it in the attack. Goals against Ware, Welwyn Garden City and Kings Langley put him joint third top scorer for the Eagles this season.
Bedford have also managed to score in every single league game so far this season. This puts the Eagles on a whopping twenty-one goals scored in seven league games whilst only conceding five.
Thame have had a decent start to the season and sit fifteenth in the table. Six points from seven games puts them level on points with three other sides (Aylesbury United, Hadley and Kidlington).
Eagles forwards Ryan Blake and Lynton Goss both used to play for Thame United. It will certainly be interesting to see Blake and Goss back at the home of their former side.
More recently, Thame have had a mixed bag of results. A 0-1 home loss most recently against Welwyn Garden City was an unfortunate one for Thame. One standout match this season was definitely a 4-4 draw against Ware – an unbelievable game.
Try to make your way to Thame for this one to watch Lee Bircham’s Eagles side back in league action.
