

The Eagles picked up a big win over local rivals Kempston Rovers after a 2-0 win at the Eyrie. A first half goal from Liam Dulson and a second half belter from Jack Green ensured the win for Bedford.
The game got off to an even start with both sides having chances early on. The first twenty minutes were fairly even before Bedford began to gain the upper hand.
The Eagles managed to take advantage of this pressure and got their goal after twenty-six minutes. Kempston failed to clear a throw into the box and Liam Dulson was there to fire the ball into the back of the net.
Bedford had a few more chances through Liam Dulson and Ryan Blake but none could convert as the score was 1-0 at the break.
The second half continued the way it the first half did as Bedford kept the pressure up but it was Kempston who should’ve scored after Edwin Daffern was off target despite being unopposed.
Kempston were punished for this shortly after as it became 2-0. A brilliant long-range effort from Jack Green managed to find the bottom left corner to double Bedford’s advantage.
Bedford continued their pressure and domination and looked to get a third. Chances came and went but Bedford eventually won a penalty. Ryan Blake’s effort from the spot hit the crossbar and the score stayed 2-0.
A really good win for Bedford who picked up a crucial three points and made up for the last match against Kempston.
