The Eagles fell to a disappointing 1-2 home defeat against 10-man Aylesbury United after a late Brayden Daniel strike. Aylesbury took the lead early on, but Carl Mensah levelled the game soon after. The Ducks were later reduced to ten men before finding a late winner thanks to Brayden Daniel.
Aylesbury started the game well and were soon rewarded with a goal after eight minutes. The Ducks bypassed the Eagles defence as Kennedy Feyi was given a golden opportunity to score, which he took.
The Eagles responded three minutes after this with an equaliser. Aylesbury couldn’t quite get the ball clear, and the ball fell into Leon Lobjoit’s path, and he put the ball across the box and it was met by Carl Mensah who finished well.
With the score level at half time, Aylesbury were soon reduced to ten men. This came after Kwai-De-Courcey Marsh-Brown put in a two-footed challenge and was sent for an early bath.
The rest of the second half mainly consisted of Eagles pressure on Aylesbury. Frustratingly, the Eagles couldn’t break down the resilient Aylesbury defence and couldn’t find a goal.
With eighty-five minutes on the clock, Aylesbury found a winner. A great pass meant Brayden Daniel was through on goal and he made no mistake and got the Ducks an important win.
An unfortunate result for the Eagles as its another defeat at the Eyrie. A massive game up next against North Leigh.
