The 2024/25 season is officially here - could the Kings Cross Steelers be your next, or even your first, step on your rugby journey?

The Kings Cross Steelers is embarking upon its 29th season and we’re inviting new recruits to join our inclusive rugby community in the centre of London. We're welcoming everyone, including players who have never played before and those who have played all their lives. Our rugby club is for all.

Our four teams of all abilities and our trailblazing Pathway to Rugby Programme are due to kick off in August ahead of an action-packed season. This is not just a club, but a community and we have an exciting year ahead, including competitive games and regular socials, culminating in a tour to the Union Cup in Oslo in May.

Our Chair, Gus Fraser, said: "Building off a strong tournament in Rome where we took six teams away on tour, and returned with 2 pieces of silverware, I'm incredibly excited for the upcoming season. We have some big match-ups lined up in both the Essex and IGR leagues, and it will be fantastic to see both old and new faces down at West Ham to play and support. The enthusiasm and spirit within the Kings Cross Steelers are at an all-time high, and I can't wait to see what we achieve together."

Considering joining our community? There are many ways to get involved.

Are you new to rugby or want to get back into rugby? 'Try Rugby' days on 10th and 17th August.

If you want to get into rugby, we’re holding 'Try Rugby' days on 10th August and 17th August. These Try Rugby days are being run in partnership with the East London Vixens who also play at the same rugby club.

Members of the Steelers and Vixens will meet you at West Ham station at 12:45 and walk you to our grounds. During the session, we will run through a series of fun skills and gameplay sessions, aiming to finish around 15:30. We will then finish with drinks in our clubhouse.

You do not have to attend both sessions. We will have both our experienced and beginner coaches on hand to chat with you and answer any questions you may have. Please use the form below to let us know if you would like to attend the 'Try Rugby' days.
