Defense for 7s:

The defensive system has to be sound, it needs to be one where everyone knows what’s happening and where all the players trust each other.

These days, most teams play with a sweeper, where there’s 6 defenders in the front line and the sweeper in behind. Pretty much every international 7’s side use this 6-up, sweeper defence.

It’s not rocket science, you can make slight modifications to it, but I’ll show you the way that I’m comfortable with the defence working.
