Quilter Kids First Champions winner – January: St Neots RUFC

By Pitch Hero

This month, former England Rugby player David ‘Flats’ Flatman and Red Roses legend Danielle ‘Nolli’ Waterman travelled to Cambridgeshire, to visit our January Quilter Kids First Champion, St Neots RUFC.

St Neots RUFC won for creating a great rugby environment. Their ethos, ‘Make us one club’, is all about having fun and keeping people involved in rugby. This doesn’t just apply to the many girls and boys attending each week; they also make it easy for new coaches to get involved. They actively use the Quilter Kids First Skills Series to ensure training sessions are fun and allow coaches with limited rugby experience to feel confident and get coaching right away.

To be in with the chance of your rugby club or school becoming a Quilter Kids First Champion, visit the England Rugby website, select ‘Nominate’ and complete the entry form. All winners will receive a visit from former England Rugby star Ugo Monye and another rugby legend; AND will be invited to attend an amazing training day at Twickenham Stadium.
