Biography

A veteran of the Football League, David Norris made 402 appearances in the Championship, 46 in League One, 22 in the EFL Cup, 17 in the FA Cup and a solitary appearance in League Two. His rollcall of clubs include Plymouth Argyle, Ipswich Town, Portsmouth, Blackpool, Leeds United, Peterborough United, Bolton Wanderers and Yeovil Town. He has been managed in his career by Neil Warnock, Sam Allardyce, Roy Keane and Ian Holloway.

David Norris joined Lancaster City in January 2019 and continues to set a professional standard despite being in his early 40’s. An FA Cup Quarter Finalist in 2007/08 with Plymouth, a League Cup Quarter Finalist in 2012/13 with Leeds and a League Cup Semi-Finalist playing for Ipswich in 2010/11. David was part of the squad that earned Bolton promotion to the Premier League in 2001 and won the Football League Second Division with Plymouth Argyle in 2003/04.

He remains one of the most popular members of the squad with supporters, players and staff alike, a highly influential and respected member of the changing room.
