7. Finals day Tag Festival!
Burnley RUFC Community Coach hosted a mini Tag Festival in support of the whole club hosting the NORWIL Cup finals day, on Saturday 5th May.
Asked to invite local schools, due to it being a Saturday and Bank Holiday weekend, the CRC was unsure if any would take up the invite. However as rugby picks up in the town St Mary Magdelines, St Joseph's Park Hill and Holy Trinity joined Burnley RUFC youngsters and four teams played some morning of rugby.
The event so all teams playing 6 matches and with a few loan players 8 A Side mini games occurred. The ability level was tremendous and it was great to see as the games progressed none of the games were one sided. Both boys and girls excelled and showed great teamwork and sportsmanship....Well done the 30 plus youngsters, and any who came but not presently playing for Burnley RUFC you would be more than welcome to join the club.
