5. 200 Club Newsletter Number 24, Feb 2019

Dear 200 Club Member,
Welcome to Newsletter number 24.
The 200 Club draw for January has been made and these are the winners
£200 – Number 15 – Stuart Spindler – The Club Chairman
£100 - Number 51 – Paul Boulard – Rhino player
£50 – Number 90 – Phil Wilson – Rhino player who also won last month!!! This shows that it can be done to win multiple times. Congratulations to our winners, spend your winnings wisely.
I have told you about the update of Rumbles Bar. We have now had the Ladies’ photos framed and also we have had some older photos from Colin Barrett’s relatives done. The oldest one is from 1900-01. Bearing in mind that the club was formed in 1898 this is a photo from the Club’s history to be treasured. They will be going up in Rumbles’ soon. Make sure that you go into Rumbles next time you are at the club to see what your 200 Club have funded.
As well as the continued update of the photos, we have funded a new photocopier for the Club and some training equipment for the Under 6’s.
The 1st XV have done really well since the last Newsletter and would appear to have eased our relegation worries. They beat Stow on the Wold in front of the assembled Honours’ Cap recipients and then beat Wallingford away last week. They have now won three in a row and five wins in their last seven games. Well done to the 1st XV players and Ben Wills, the 1st XV Coach. The team play against Aylesbury this Saturday and hope to honour the Past Players with another win.
Other dates which I hope that you are aware are: March 9th 2019 – VP lunch; April 6th 2019 – VP lunch ; May 4th 2019 – Memorial Game; May 16th 2019 – AGM.
We have had a couple of drop outs from the 200 Club membership so if you wish to emulate Dave Parish last month and win with two numbers then please reply to this newsletter. Remember we have the “Bumper Draw” coming up in three months with £1000 on offer in prizes.
Come to the Club to meet old friends, or even new ones, support the teams and help to increase the bar profits.
Best wishes,
Graham
